In the grand theater of climate change, carbon dioxide (CO2) has been cast as the villain, with many believing that reducing its presence in the atmosphere is the key to saving the planet. However, a closer look at the carbon cycle and the role of CO2 in plant life reveals a different narrative. With just a basic understanding of science, a little research, and a helping of common sense it is not hard to see that CO2 is not a “pollutant” at all.
The carbon cycle is a complex dance of carbon moving through the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. Plants play a crucial role in this cycle by absorbing CO2 through photosynthesis. This process not only provides them with the carbon they need to grow but also releases oxygen as a byproduct. In essence, plants are nature’s way of cleaning the air for us to breathe.
As humans, we inherently contribute to the carbon cycle. We breathe out CO2, which is then used by plants to grow. So, by waging a war on CO2, are we not also waging a war on ourselves? Mainstream media seem to think so!
Humans Are Fueling Global Warming By Just Breathing, Study Claims
Scientists in the United Kingdom have published new research that claims that humans are exhaling global warming-causing gases when they breathe. The study has been published in the journal PLOS One. Experts explained that methane and nitrous oxide in the air we exhale make up to 0.1% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. So once you factor in the farts and burps being produced by humans, it becomes clear that humans are fueling global warming by just exhaling from lungs, scientists said.
Where would we be without scientists to tell us that we’re destroying the world just by breathing? However, it’s not just the air we breathe but the food we eat! The agricultural sector, which feeds the world, is also under fire for its CO2 emissions. What many people do not seem to realize is that there really is no debate about the benefits of higher CO2 levels for agriculture. A study by the University of Oxford found that increased CO2 levels can lead to faster plant growth and increased resistance to drought. Increased CO2 also boosts crop yields, which is why many greenhouses spend a lot of money to pump CO2 into the air.
While The Guardian continues deceive it’s gullible & propagandised readers with alarmist misinformation, the truth is we should be rejoicing that liberating CO2 and warming have helped create a bounty of increasing crop yields. https://t.co/OL4FcL0Hpp https://t.co/2VH2R61lOq pic.twitter.com/OpsIlfpv4y

Far from having too much CO2 in the atmosphere, some experts even suggest that we are in a “CO2 famine” and that Earth had much higher levels in the past.

“That’s all well and good, but you can’t deny that CO2 is causing extreme weather and increasing temperatures,” some climate change extremists might say before calling me a “climate change denier.”
Actually, I can dispute that, as the science surrounding CO2’s role in global warming (now cleverly re-branded as climate change) is far from settled, contrary to what the talking heads in government buildings and newsrooms would have us believe.
‘Pure Junk Science’: Researchers Challenge Narrative on CO2 and Warming Correlation
UN claims that human-caused CO2 emissions are imperiling the planet are ‘totally garbage,’ says scientist. ‘CO2 doesn’t cause a change in temperature.’https://t.co/z8pXyEmyr1

The above article argues that the focus on reducing CO2 emissions to combat climate change is misguided. It claims that the real driver of temperature is not CO2 but rather solar activity and cosmic rays. The article cites a study by Henrik Svensmark, a physicist at the Danish National Space Institute, which found that cosmic rays have a significant impact on the Earth’s climate. The study suggests that cosmic rays can influence the formation of clouds, which in turn affects the Earth’s temperature. The article also criticizes the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for ignoring this research and maintaining that CO2 is the primary driver of climate change.
There is plenty more research that suggests CO2 is not causing a significant increase in temperature, but most of it is being suppressed and hidden from public debate. For example, “Unstoppable global warming: Every 1,500 years” (2007) by S. F. Singer and D. T. Avery presents the theory that global climate change is primarily driven by natural factors, such as solar activity and ocean currents, rather than human-generated CO2 emissions. “Green house effect in semi-transparent planetary atmospheres” in Quarterly Journal of the Hungarian Meteorological Service (2007) by F. M. Miskolczi proposes a new greenhouse theory that suggests the Earth’s atmosphere has a self-regulating mechanism that prevents CO2 from causing significant global warming. “Climate science: Is it currently designed to answer questions? In Global Environmental Change” (2009) by MIT professor Richard Lindzen argues that the current climate science is not designed to answer questions about the role of CO2 in global warming and that the scientific consensus on this issue is overstated.
More recently, “Saturated Science: New Study Challenges CO2 Climate Narrative” discusses a 2024 published in Applications in Engineering Science that challenges the prevailing narrative on the role of carbon dioxide (CO2) in climate change. The study, conducted by researchers from the Military University of Technology in Poland, suggests that the impact of additional CO2 emissions on global temperatures may be far less significant than commonly portrayed. The study’s findings indicate that the Earth’s atmosphere may already be saturated with CO2, meaning that additional CO2 emissions would have a minimal impact on global temperatures. This challenges the prevailing view that reducing CO2 emissions is necessary to mitigate climate change. The article also highlights the aforementioned benefits of increased CO2 levels, such as higher crop yields and improved plant resistance to drought. It questions the scientific consensus around the role of CO2 in global warming, pointing to studies that show a lack of correlation between rising CO2 levels and global temperatures.
The war on CO2 may be a misguided effort that could have unintended consequences for both the environment and humanity. Perhaps it is time to reevaluate our approach and focus on a more balanced and sustainable way of addressing the desire to protect our world. It is important to remember that the more CO2 in the air, the more food we can grow to feed the world. Maybe these “climate scientists” should be asked if they are trying to harm farmers and starve the world because that is what waging war on CO2 could do.
